Which Do You Prefer?

Sun Dec 13, 2009, 6:00 PM
1) An artist with a consistent artstyle (hits consistently 'good' notes)

2) An artist who experiments often (hits a variety of notes, from ace to duff)

New To-Do List

Tue Dec 1, 2009, 12:45 PM
I'm going to do a letter of the alphabet every day from the-day-before-yesterday on, and draw a picture for that day. If I start on 29th November and finish by 24th December, that leaves me with 26 days.

CURRENT PROGRESS:
FINISHED - H
STILL NEED TO DO - L, N, O, R, T, W, X, Y, Z
WORKING ON - lol

Can't think of anything I want for Christmas, oddly enough.

It's Been A While, Hasn't It?

Tue Jun 16, 2009, 3:38 PM
Not much time to talk, so let's get this over with quick.

1) Near the end of that 2-year college course. Pretty certain I'm not going to pass. Boo-hoo, etc. I'll make do. Will upload final projects ASAP.

2) Going to seek out prospective employers (e.g commissions) and work my way up the food chain. Will post designs etc periodically. Will get a website set up as soon as I've done enough designs.

3) Putting consideration into making a minicomic. I'll draw it up, print and mail it to a few artists, publishers etc and get some feedback, word of mouth, etc. Could be cheaper just to propose a pitch or two around, but I like the idea of getting something self-published after feedback from a few professionals. I'll look into it - research on proposals, publishing and printing are a must. Also gonna use said website as a sort of preview for the comic. Would be cool to publish independent series, but not holding breath.

4) Big question - what to make the comic about? And would I get away with publishing it online as a webcomic before printing it afterwards? That seems a tad cheeky, really.

5) My tablet's knackered. Going to eBay for a new one, preferably Wacom. And by eBay I mean 'snipe like a cheap son of a bitch'.

And apparently there's an option to load a module on my DA page to let you directly read the latest entries, but that requires a subscription, and subscriptions require money, and I don't want to waste money for something as frivolous as that, and you shouldn't either.

So yeah, how about that new Zelda game? Railroading plot, amirite?
